Gold Prices Decline Amid Stronger US Job Growth
Gold prices declined for the second consecutive week, ending at $4,430 per ounce. The decline was largely due to stronger-than-expected US employment data, which reinforced expectations of a tighter monetary policy stance.
The US economy added 162,000 jobs in August, exceeding market expectations of around 56,000. This figure also included a revision upward for July's job numbers, showing an increase of 21,000 jobs.
While the unemployment rate remained unchanged at 4.1 percent, annual wage growth slowed to 3.1 percent, although this decline was less pronounced than markets had anticipated.
