Gold Prices Decline on MCX as International Market Sees Slight Ease
Gold prices remained a key focus for buyers and investors on September 5, as the precious metal sees fluctuations across domestic and international markets. Since September 5 falls on a Saturday, Indian markets are closed for regular trading today.
In the previous trading session, gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) ended lower. The 24-carat gold futures contract declined 0.03 per cent, or Rs 47, to Rs 1,54,107 per 10 grams, compared with the previous close of Rs 1,54,154 per 10 grams.
Meanwhile, bullion prices showed a different trend. According to Bullions, 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,53,310 per 10 grams. In the international market, gold touched $4,477.20 per ounce.
Delhi's bullion market saw 24-carat gold climb to Rs 1,60,900 per 10 grams, including taxes. GoodReturns listed the 24-carat gold price at Rs 1,56,810 per 10 grams. With gold rates varying by source, taxes, local demand and market conditions, buyers should check the latest rate applicable in their city before making a purchase.
