Gold Prices Defy Expectations Amid US-Iran War, Silver Slips
Gold and silver prices have been volatile in recent days, defying expectations that they would surge as a safe-haven asset amid the US-Iran war. On COMEX, gold traded at USD 4,468.90 per ounce after a marginal rise on Thursday, while silver slipped 0.23% to USD 65.550 per ounce.
The trend for precious metals changed last week when they gained significantly after hitting their peaks in January. However, the decline witnessed on Thursday brought some relief to investors who had invested in gold through mutual funds and digital gold.
Experts suggest that investing a huge amount in precious metals like gold and silver in one go isn't an intelligent decision at this point in time. Instead, they recommend investing through smaller installments or a systematic investment plan (SIP) to earn profits while keeping the average investment safe.
