Gold Prices Dented by Stronger Dollar Ahead of US Inflation Data
Gold prices slipped 0.2% on Monday after hitting a seven-week high, pressured by a stronger US dollar.
The US dollar index rose more than 0.1% to 99.65, making gold less attractive to foreign buyers.
Investors are awaiting key US inflation data, including the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Producer Price Index (PPI), which could provide clues on the Federal Reserve's interest-rate outlook.
