Gold Prices Dip by ₹269 as Silver Falls ₹3,742 per Kg
The precious metal gold experienced a decline in price on September 11, according to data from the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA). The price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold fell by ₹269 to around ₹1.53 lakh. This represents a drop in value compared to its previous price.
The price volatility of gold has been evident throughout 2026, with the metal experiencing significant fluctuations. Despite this volatility, gold prices have gained around ₹20,000 so far this year. On December 31, 2025, 10 grams of gold was priced at around ₹1.33 lakh.
Silver, another precious metal, also saw a decline in price on September 11, falling by ₹3,742 per kg to nearly ₹2.30 lakh. Similar to gold, silver prices have remained relatively stable throughout the year. On December 31, 2025, silver was priced at around ₹2.30 lakh per kg.
Both metals had touched record highs earlier this year, with gold reaching an all-time high of ₹1.76 lakh per 10 grams on January 29 and silver surging to ₹3.86 lakh per kg.
