Gold Prices Dip Slightly as Silver Holds Steady Across Indian Cities
On August 10, 2026, gold prices experienced a slight decline in major Indian cities. According to GoodReturns, 24K gold was priced at ₹1,51,970 per 10 grams, while 22K gold was around ₹1,39,300 per 10 grams. In contrast, silver prices remained firm with varying rates across cities. Buyers should note that the final jewellery price may be higher due to GST, making charges, and other applicable charges.
The city-wise rates for gold were as follows: Chennai had a price of ₹1,52,180 per 10g for 24K gold and ₹1,39,500 per 10g for 22K gold. Mumbai followed closely with a price of ₹1,51,970 per 10g for 24K gold and ₹1,39,300 per 10g for 22K gold.
Silver prices were also reported city-wise: Chennai had a rate of ₹2,50,000 per kg, while Mumbai and Delhi both had a rate of ₹2,45,000 per kg. The same rates applied to Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Pune, but Hyderabad and Kerala had a higher rate of ₹2,50,000 per kg for silver.
