Gold Prices Drop Amid Caution Ahead of US Inflation Data and Rate Decision
Gold prices on MCX fell by 0.12% to Rs. 1,53,950 per 10 grams on September 10 amid caution ahead of US inflation data and the Federal Reserve's policy decision.
The October gold futures saw a decline in value as Brent crude futures dropped 0.16% to USD 101 per barrel. In contrast, US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) edged higher by 0.06% to USD 96.11 per barrel.
According to the CME FedWatch Tool, markets are pricing in a 39.8% probability that the Federal Reserve will keep rates unchanged and a 60.2% chance of a rate hike in September.
