Gold Prices Drop on Weak Demand, Silver Rises Amid Fresh Bets
Gold prices dropped by Rs 208 to Rs 1,54,252 per 10 grams in futures trade due to weak spot demand. The decline was attributed to a decrease in precious metal prices globally, with gold futures trading at $4,432.26 per ounce in New York.
The drop in gold prices contrasts with the rise in silver prices, which rose by Rs 440 to Rs 2.40 lakh per kg in futures trade amid fresh position build-up by participants.
Crude oil prices, on the other hand, rose by Rs 106 to Rs 8,255 per barrel in futures trade, driven by positive global trends and increased bets by participants.
