Gold Prices Edge Higher Ahead of Fed's Warsh Speech at Jackson Hole
Gold prices edged higher on Thursday, buoyed by concerns over dollar debasement and the prospect of fresh policy signals from Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh at the Jackson Hole symposium.
Spot gold rose 0.2% to $4,599.57 per ounce, while U.S. gold futures remained steady at $4,652.70, according to Reuters.
Despite slightly higher U.S. inflation data on Wednesday, global debt concerns continue to support demand for the yellow metal, said UBS analyst Giovanni Staunovo.
