Gold Prices Expected to Rise This Fall, But Volatility Ahead
Gold prices are expected to rise in the coming months, according to precious metals experts. After hitting record highs earlier this year, gold prices fell but have since somewhat recovered.
Brandon Aversano, founder of The Alloy Market, notes that central banks continue to buy gold at record levels and inflation remains high, which should keep gold prices on an upward trajectory.
However, experts don't predict a significant increase in gold prices, with estimates ranging from $4,500 to $5,000 per ounce. Brett Elliott of the American Precious Metals Exchange says there's 'an outside chance' that gold could rally over $5,000 again, but the odds aren't favorable.
The Federal Reserve's decision on interest rates is a key factor in determining gold prices. If inflation remains high or rises further, it could lead to higher interest rates and put downward pressure on gold prices.
