Gold Prices Fall Across Major Indian Cities After Sharp Weekly Surge
Gold and silver prices have dipped in major Indian cities after a sharp rise over the past week. This decline may bring some relief to customers planning jewelry purchases ahead of the festive and wedding season.
The price of 24-carat gold dropped to around ₹1,52,540 per 10 grams in Delhi, while 22-carat gold was trading at nearly ₹1,39,840 per 10 grams. Similar declines were observed in Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai.
Although the overall trend remains bullish, market experts attribute the decline to global factors influencing domestic prices. Spot gold prices in the international market remained around $4,336 per ounce, impacting the Indian bullion market.
