Gold Prices Fall After Kevin Warsh's Jackson Hole Speech
Gold prices declined on Friday as Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh spoke at the Jackson Hole symposium.
The market was awaiting his closely watched remarks, and gold slipped lower after the speech.
Spot gold traded 0.5% higher at $4,579.41 per ounce, while gold futures slid 0.8% to $4,627.40.
In his address, Warsh noted that this summer's PCE and CPI readings were better than expected but did not signal significant improvement in underlying trends.
