Gold Prices Fall as Investors Watch Fed Rate Expectations
Gold prices have been trading cautiously on Tuesday after a sharp correction in previous days. On September 1, 2026, gold was priced at ₹1,54,359 per 10 grams on the MCX, down ₹101 or 0.07%. Silver is also facing pressure due to recent profit-booking.
According to Bullions.co.in, 24-karat gold was priced at ₹1,54,910 per 10 grams, while 20-karat and 18-karat gold were priced at ₹1,29,092 and ₹1,16,183, respectively. Silver was priced at ₹2,39,800 per kilogram.
Investors are closely watching US Federal Reserve rate expectations, the dollar, Treasury yields, and upcoming US jobs data, all of which could influence the near-term direction of precious metals. A possible cut in import duties is also being considered by the government, which could affect domestic gold and silver prices.
