Gold Prices Fall in Tamil Nadu for Fourth Consecutive Month

The gold rate in Tamil Nadu continued to trend downwards in July 2026. According to data, the price of 24-karat gold dropped from ₹1,46,190 per 10 grams on July 3rd to ₹1,44,470 by July 25th. This represents a decrease of ₹1720 over the course of the month.

In contrast, the highest rate recorded in July was ₹1,49,570 on July 4th, while the lowest rate was ₹1,42,670 on July 18th.

The trend is not unique to July alone. In June, gold prices fell from ₹1,57,180 per 10 grams on June 1st to ₹1,45,080 by June 30th. Similarly, in May, the price dropped from ₹1,61,680 on May 22nd to ₹1,59,600 by May 31st.

However, it's worth noting that gold prices rose in January 2026, increasing from ₹1,36,250 per 10 grams on January 1st to ₹1,73,060 by January 31st. This represents a significant increase of ₹36810 over the course of the month.
