Gold Prices Flat as Investors Eye US Inflation Data for Rate Hints
Gold prices held steady on Wednesday as investors awaited key U.S. inflation data to gauge the Federal Reserve's interest-rate path.
The precious metal eased 0.6% to $4,630.72 per ounce by 0745 GMT, snapping a three-session winning streak that followed its highest price since May 14.
U.S. gold futures dropped 0.2% to $4,687.20, with the focus shifting from the recent bond buyback announcement by the U.S. Treasury Department, which had pushed prices to their current level.
