Gold Prices Gain Amid Weaker Dollar and Higher Yields

Gold prices edged up on Wednesday, snapping a two-day losing streak, as the US dollar weakened and Treasury yields rose. The precious metal added 0.5% to $4,416.00/oz in front-month Comex gold XAUUSD trading.

The UBS analysts report this week highlighted the importance of gold allocations in investor portfolios due to mounting fiscal concerns, elevated inflation, geopolitical uncertainty, and strong sovereign demand.

While the near-term outlook for gold may be affected by higher real yields and a stronger US dollar, analysts do not believe that these factors diminish gold's strategic role in a portfolio.
