Gold Prices Hit Record Levels in India as Demand Soars During Festive Season
The prices of gold and silver have reached new record levels in India. The price of 24 carat gold has surpassed ₹1.63 lakh per 10 grams, while silver prices have also hit a record high. This surge is attributed to the high demand for gold during the festive season and as an investment opportunity.
Comparing the prices across major cities, Nagpur, Surat, and Delhi show nearly identical prices for 22 carat, 24 carat, and 18 carat gold. In Nagpur, the price of 22 carat gold per 10 grams is ₹1,49,500, while in Surat it's ₹1,49,550.
In Delhi, which has slightly higher prices compared to other cities, the price of 24 carat gold stands at ₹1,63,240 per 10 grams. This trend indicates that gold prices are volatile and can vary across different regions within India.
