Gold Prices Hit Three-Month High Amid Market Volatility
Gold prices surged to their highest levels in over three months on Monday, as investors sought safe-haven assets amid market volatility. Spot gold reached $4,627.42 per ounce, up 0.5 percent from the previous day's close, with US gold futures edging higher by 0.1 percent to $4,683.80.
The metal's price increase came despite a decline in other precious metals, including silver, platinum, and palladium, which fell by 0.3-0.5 percent each. The price movements suggest that investors are increasingly turning to gold as a safe-haven asset, driven by uncertainty and market volatility.
