Gold Prices Hold Steady Ahead of US Inflation Data Release
Gold prices remained steady on September 7th as investors awaited the release of US inflation data, which is expected to provide clues about the Federal Reserve's interest rate trajectory.
The spot price of gold held firm at $4,424.40 per ounce, while US gold futures for December delivery edged down 0.1 percent to $4,471.60 per ounce.
Ahead of the inflation data release, precious metals such as silver, platinum, and palladium also showed minimal movement in their spot prices, with silver holding steady at $66.21 per ounce, platinum slipping 0.7 percent to $1,807.38 per ounce, and palladium easing 0.4 percent to $1,393.00 per ounce.
