Gold Prices Hold Steady at High Levels Across India
Gold prices have remained stable at high levels in major cities across India. As of August 23, 2026, the rate for 24-carat gold is hovering around ₹1.62 lakh per 10 grams, which is the same as it was on August 22.
The price of 22-carat gold, commonly used to make jewelry, has also seen a rise in recent days. In Mumbai, the current market rate for gold stands at ₹1,63,090, while in Delhi it's even higher at ₹1,63,240.
Silver prices are also on the rise, with the cost of 1 kg reaching ₹2,60,000. This surge in gold and silver prices has piqued the interest of customers and investors alike.
