Gold Prices Hold Steady in India Amid Global Market Shifts
Gold prices in India remain steady, despite global market shifts, with 24K gold trading at Rs 1,43,066 per 10 grams nationally. In contrast, silver has seen a downward correction of 2% over the past week, now priced at around Rs 2,35,000 per kilogram.
The precious metal markets across India have been dynamic, reacting to international market shifts, currency fluctuations, and regional demand. Retail jewellers quote rates higher than the national average, depending on local levies and taxation.
A table provided by industry indices shows city-wise variations in gold and silver prices. Kochi, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, and Bengaluru have 22K and 24K gold rates ranging from Rs 13,230 to Rs 14,433 per gram, with silver priced between Rs 2,35,000 and Rs 2,44,900 per kilogram.
Market observers emphasize that gold remains a favored hedge against economic volatility. Despite intermittent pullbacks, gold has displayed a resilient recovery streak over July. Silver's minor correction of 2% brings relief to industrial consumers and retail buyers seeking lower entry points.
