Gold Prices Hold Steady in Major Indian Cities
The current gold prices in major Indian cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Chennai remain relatively stable. The 24-karat gold rate is priced at ₹1,60,640 per 10 grams, while the 22-karat gold rate is around ₹1,47,260 per 10 grams.
According to market participants, global economic data, US interest rate expectations, and currency movements will continue to influence precious metal prices. The retail market still prefers 24-karat gold for its purity but also values 22-karat gold for its strength and durability due to alloyed metals.
Joyalukkas and Malabar Gold & Diamonds are among the top jewellers maintaining a price of ₹13,220 per gram for 22-karat gold across various states. Tanishq's corresponding rate is slightly higher at ₹13,265 per gram.
