Gold Prices in Bangladesh Reduced by BAJUS Starting September 2
The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) announced a reduction in gold prices on September 2, 2026. According to the notice, the new prices will take effect starting from Wednesday, September 2. The price of the highest quality 22-carat gold per bhori has been reduced by 4,374 taka, from the previous price of 236,254 taka to the new price of 231,880 taka.
Similarly, the price of 21-carat gold per bhori has been reduced by 4,199 taka, from the previous price of 225,640 taka to the new price of 221,441 taka. 18-carat gold per bhori has been reduced by 3,616 taka, from the previous price of 193,739 taka to the new price of 190,123 taka.
Traditional (Sonaton) gold per bhori has been reduced by 2,974 taka, from the previous price of 158,280 taka to the new price of 155,306 taka. Gold is a valuable metal used for jewelry, currency, and investment. In Bangladesh, it's measured in carats and grams.
