Gold Prices in India Dip Amid Easing Global Tensions
Gold prices in India decreased slightly on July 29, with 24-carat gold trading at Rs 14,416 per gram, down by Rs 1 from the previous day. The prices of 22-carat and 18-carat gold also dropped to Rs 13,214 and Rs 10,812 per gram respectively.
The decrease in gold prices comes as global tensions ease following a brief respite from conflict in West Asia. However, the region remains volatile, with ongoing military attacks and interference with shipping routes prompting market fears of geopolitical instability and economic unpredictability.
Market participants are turning to gold as a safe-haven asset, driving up demand for the precious metal. Regional gold valuations continue to adjust daily due to international market movements, state import duties, and fluctuations in local currency exchange rates.
