Gold Prices in India Remain Stable Amid Interest Rate Expectations and Inflation Trends
The prices of gold in India remained relatively stable on September 14, 2026, due to investors focusing on interest rate indicators, USD/INR movement, and inflation trends. The price of 24K gold per gram was around Rs 15,457, while 22K gold was priced near Rs 14,169 per gram.
The prices varied slightly across different cities in India due to local demands, transportation costs, and jewellery associations. Delhi remained a little more expensive city compared to other metropolitan cities, mainly due to differences in inland transportation charges and levies.
Analysts say that the gold rates remain sensitive to a mix of factors, including international bullion trends, interest rate expectations from major central banks, inflation data, and festive season demand. With Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations underway, jewellery buying has picked up in several states, lending mild support to retail demand.
