Gold Prices in India Rise Amid Volatile Global Cues
Gold prices in India rose on Tuesday, August 18, as 24-carat gold climbed to ₹15,589 per gram, up ₹23 from the previous day. The price of 22-carat gold increased by ₹20 to ₹14,290 per gram, while 18-carat gold rose by ₹16 to ₹11,692 per gram.
The city-wise prices for gold and silver are as follows: New Delhi (24K Gold: ₹15,6722 per gram, 22K Gold: ₹14,294 per gram), Mumbai (24K Gold: ₹15,6264 per gram, 22K Gold: ₹14,2231 per gram), Bengaluru (24K Gold: ₹15,973 per gram, 22K Gold: ₹14,2322 per gram).
The global cues have been volatile in recent sessions due to developments in international markets, geopolitical tensions and changing investor sentiment. Spot gold was down 0.5% at $4,391.77 an ounce by 0915 GMT.
