Gold Prices in India Show Mixed Trends Amid Global Volatility

Gold prices in India have shown mixed trends on Friday, with retail prices edging higher despite a decline in futures trading. The Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) saw gold futures slip to around Rs 1,42,600 per 10 grams, while silver futures fell to nearly Rs 2,19,200 per kg. However, domestic retail gold prices rose across 24K, 22K, and 18K categories.

The global market volatility, a stronger US dollar, and evolving expectations around the US Federal Reserve policy have influenced bullion prices. Analysts say gold is likely to remain volatile in the near term as investors monitor global economic data, central bank decisions, and geopolitical developments.
