Gold Prices Inch Up Ahead of Crucial Labor Market Data
Gold prices rose slightly on Tuesday as investors awaited several US labor market data releases that could provide clues about future interest rates.
The spot price of gold increased by 0.2% to $4,059.81 per ounce at 02:57 GMT, according to Reuters.
Investors are awaiting key reports, including US job openings data due later today and the non-farm payrolls report on Friday.
Other precious metals also rose in value, with spot silver increasing by 1% to $58.74 per ounce and platinum gaining 1.2% to $1,646.59.
