Gold Prices May Soar to $10,000 by 2030, $15,000-$20,000 by 2050
Gold's strong performance over the past decade has investors wondering if this trend will continue. In India, gold is a popular asset among investors due to its traditional role in jewellery and gifting during weddings and festivals.
The average price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold was around ₹28,000 to ₹30,000 in 2016. By 2026, the price had increased to approximately ₹1,53,250. This represents a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of around 18.6%, with the value increasing by about 5.35 times over 10 years.
Data from the World Gold Council shows that gold delivered returns of more than 60% in 2025.
According to projections, if demand for gold remains strong, prices could reach $10,000 per ounce by 2030. Some analysts also predict that gold could reach between $15,000 and $20,000 per ounce by 2050.
