Gold Prices Near $4,400 Ahead of Critical Inflation Data
Gold prices have risen to $4,418.87 an ounce as investors await US inflation data and Federal Reserve rate signals.
The US Producer Price Index (PPI) is due on Thursday, while the Consumer Price Index (CPI) will be released on Friday.
A higher-than-expected inflation reading could strengthen expectations for tighter Fed policy, which would likely boost gold prices further.
However, rising Treasury yields have limited gold's gains, making it less attractive as investors can earn higher returns from interest-paying assets.
The weaker US dollar has also provided support to gold, despite the higher bond yields.
