Gold Prices Plummet ₹8,900 in Five Days Amid Global Sell-Off
Gold prices have declined for five consecutive days in India, dropping by ₹2,700 to ₹1.58 lakh per 10 grams in Delhi. This sharp fall has brought gold to a nearly two-week low, with its price last being at this level on August 19.
The five-day decline has reached ₹8,900, or 5.3 percent, from the previous high of ₹1,67,100 per 10 grams recorded on August 25.
Silver prices have also weakened, falling by ₹5,000 to ₹2,40,500 per kg. The global sell-off in bullion has been driven by renewed tensions between the US and Iran, pushing up crude oil prices and raising inflation concerns.
