Gold Prices Plummet Across Baghdad and Erbil Markets
Gold prices dropped across Baghdad and Erbil markets on Tuesday, according to a Shafaq News survey.
The selling price of 21-carat gold in Baghdad's Al-Nahr Street was recorded at 965,000 IQD per mithqal (equivalent to five grams) for Gulf, Turkish, and European varieties, with a buying price of 961,000 IQD. This is down from Monday's selling price.
The prices varied across different types of gold, with 21-carat Iraqi gold sold at 935,000 IQD, while the buying price reached 931,000 IQD.
In jewelry stores, the selling price per mithqal of 21-carat Gulf gold ranged between 965,000 and 975,000 IQD, while Iraqi gold sold for between 935,000 and 945,000 IQD.
