Gold Prices Plummet Across India's Major Cities

The gold price in India has seen a decrease across major cities over the last 24 hours. According to recent data, on August 16, 2026, the 24-carat gold price dropped by Rs 2,890 to Rs 1,58,240 per 10 grams, while the 22 carat gold price fell by Rs 2,650 to Rs 1,45,050. These prices remain consistent across various cities in India, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Bhubaneswar.

The silver rate in India has remained constant at Rs 2,65,000 today, with the exception of Bhubaneswar where it decreased by Rs 5,000 to Rs 2,75,000 per kilogram.
