Gold Prices Plummet Across the Board Amid Volatility
Gold prices plummeted across the board on September 6, marking the end of the week. The significant fluctuations in global gold prices have triggered a downward trend in domestic markets. Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) listed the price of SJC gold bars at 144.6 - 147.6 million VND/ounce, a decrease of 1 million VND compared to yesterday.
The price of 99.99% pure gold rings was also adjusted down by 1 million VND by SJC in both buying and selling directions, to 144.1 - 147.1 million VND per tael. PNJ reduced the price by 1 million VND/tael in the buying direction and 900,000 VND/tael in the selling direction.
The global gold market experienced a volatile trading week as bargain-hunting buying emerged after a sharp drop, helping the precious metal to partially narrow its losses. According to Kitco News' latest weekly gold market survey, professional investors on Wall Street are fairly balanced, expecting gold prices to rise, fall, or remain unchanged.
