Gold Prices Plummet After Fed's Warsh Signals Rate Hikes
Gold prices dropped on Monday, reaching their lowest point in nearly two weeks after US Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh hinted at potential interest rate hikes to combat inflation.
The spot gold price fell 0.8 percent to $4,417.04 per ounce by 0406 GMT, marking its weakest level since August 19th.
US gold futures also declined, dropping 1.4 percent to $4,466.80.
