Gold Prices Plummet by Rs 818 on Weaker Spot Demand
Gold prices fell on Friday by Rs 818 to Rs 1,44,022 per 10 grams in futures trade due to weaker spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for October delivery traded lower by 0.56% at Rs 1,44,022 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 683 lots.
The decline in precious metal prices was attributed to a fall in spot demand. Globally, gold futures were trading down 0.69% at USD 4,075 per ounce in New York.
