Gold Prices Plummet for Second Consecutive Day on July 24
Gold prices continued their downward trend on July 24, 2026, dropping for the second consecutive day. According to GoodReturns.in, 24 carat gold declined by ₹1,850 to ₹1,44,330 per 10 gm. Similarly, 22 carat and 18 carat gold fell in price by ₹1,700 and ₹1,390 to ₹1,32,300 and ₹1,08,250 per 10 gm, respectively.
The decline comes after gold prices gained momentum due to renewed diplomatic talks between the US and Iran. However, with the conflict seemingly resolved, gold prices have tumbled in two sessions. The precious metal's price is being influenced by various factors, including inflationary concerns, interest rate hike bets, and crude oil prices.
On July 24, 2026, gold prices per gm across major brands were as follows: Tanishq (₹14,482 for 24 carat), Joyalukkas (₹14,433 for 24 carat), Kalyan Jewellers (₹14,433 for 24 carat), and Malabar Gold (₹14,433 for 24 carat).
