The prices of gold and silver in Pakistan continued to fluctuate on August 27, 2026. The rate for 24-carat gold per tola decreased by Rs3,500 to Rs483,036, while the price for 10-gram gold declined by Rs3,001 to Rs414,125 in the local bullion market.

The rates of gold in Pakistan closely follow the trajectory of the US dollar and international prices. The precious metal is widely used as a safe-haven asset and in making jewelry. Gold prices are fixed by the respective Sarafa associations in their city.

The value of the yellow metal has been affected by various factors, including demand and supply, rupee's devaluation, interest rates, and investor behavior. The prices of gold have seen fluctuations due to economic and political uncertainty in Pakistan since last year.
