Gold Prices Plummet in Pakistani Market Amid Global Decline
Gold prices dropped in Pakistan's local market on Thursday, with the price of 24-karat gold per tola declining by Rs3,500 to settle at Rs483,036. The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association reported this change in rates.
The decrease in gold prices was reflected across different weights, with 10 grams of 24-karat gold falling by Rs3,001 to Rs414,125, and 22-karat gold decreasing by Rs2,751 to Rs379,628. In contrast, the price of silver per tola rose by Rs50 to Rs7,329.
The association also reported a drop in international gold prices, with $35 falling off the price tag to reach $4,605 per ounce. However, the price of silver in the international market saw a slight increase of $0.50 to $68.50 per ounce.
