Gold Prices Plunge After Last Week's 1% Decline

Gold prices edged lower on Monday as investors reacted to recent market movements. Spot gold fell by 0.5 percent to $4,405.47 per ounce at 02:11 GMT, following a 1 percent decline on Friday.

The US gold futures for December delivery also dropped 0.5 percent to $4,452.20.

Other precious metals saw similar losses, with spot silver easing 0.2 percent to $66.03 per ounce, platinum losing 0.8 percent at $1,805.53 and palladium declining 0.7 percent to $1,396.08.
