Gold Prices Predicted to Reach $5,000 by First Half of Next Year
The gold market has shown signs of rebounding after months of weakness, with prices breaking through $4,250 per ounce and reaching a new high since June. According to UBS Group, gold prices could reach $5,000 in the first half of next year.
UBS Group attributes this potential growth to three key pillars: renewed investment demand driven by declining real interest rates, a weaker U.S. dollar encouraging portfolio diversification, and sustained high-level gold purchases by central banks. The group views any pullback in gold prices to $4,000 as an opportunity to establish strategic positions.
Noah Weisberger, Chief Strategist at BCA Research, also notes that rising gold prices and stronger gold mining equities reflect deepening investor concerns about inflation prospects and the Federal Reserve's ability to combat inflation. This suggests further upside potential for gold, possibly even reaching new all-time highs.
