World gold prices rebounded in the morning session of September 10, breaking above the $4,400 per ounce mark as the weakening US dollar supported precious metal buying power.

The spot gold price rose by 0.27% to $4,413.87 per ounce at 9:00 am Vietnam time on September 10.

Gold prices have been trading in a narrow range around $4,400 per ounce since rebounding from the $4,000 mark in July.

The precious metal's ability to maintain upward momentum is being closely watched by investors, who see it as a defensive asset in their portfolios.
