Gold prices have recovered from their previous decline after investors continued to monitor US interest rate prospects and wait for new signals from the US Federal Reserve (Fed).

As of August 27, spot gold price increased by 0.79%, to $4,630.79 USD/ounce, while December gold futures price rose by 0.69%, to $4,685.56 USD/ounce.

The precious metal's upward momentum is taking place in a context where the market remains cautious about new signals from the Fed.

Investors are looking forward to Fed Chairman Kevin Warsh's speech at the Jackson Hole seminar on August 28, which may shape interest rate expectations and affect gold prices.
