Gold Prices Rebound at Indonesia's Pegadaian Amid Global Volatility
Gold prices at Pegadaian, Indonesia's state-owned pawnshop operator, rebounded on Wednesday (9/9/2026), reversing the previous day's decline. The price of UBS gold in the 1-gram size rose by Rp18,000 to Rp2,629,000 (approximately $184), while Galeri 24 climbed Rp11,000 to Rp2,587,000.
The increase came amid stable global gold prices hovering around $4,400 per troy ounce. For the 0.5-gram size, UBS was the most expensive at Rp1,421,000, followed by Antam at Rp1,385,000 and Galeri 24 at Rp1,357,000.
The movement in domestic gold prices came amid fluctuations in the global precious metals market. Global gold was said to be stable in the range of $4,400 per troy ounce, although oil prices remain a challenge for the direction of future movements.
