Gold Prices Remain Steady in India Amid Global Market Fluctuations
Gold prices in India remained stable on August 9, 2026, despite fluctuations in global markets. The domestic 24-carat gold price rose to around INR 1,51,985 per 10 grams, up 0.08 percent from the previous close of INR 1,51,864.
The international bullion prices traded within a narrow range due to safe-haven demand balancing pressure from a firm US dollar and uncertainty over global interest rates.
Analysts expect gold prices to remain range-bound in the near term, influenced by inflation trends, geopolitical developments, and currency movements. Domestic jewellery demand remained steady despite elevated prices, while gold continued to attract investors seeking a hedge against inflation and market volatility.
