Gold Prices Retreat from Three-Month High Amid US Inflation Focus
Gold prices retreated on Tuesday after hitting their highest levels in over three months earlier in the day. The precious metal's value fell by 0.2 percent to $4,640.39 per ounce at 0334 GMT. This decline came as investors shifted their focus to upcoming US inflation data and a speech later this week by Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh.
Other metals also experienced declines, with spot silver falling 1.3 percent to $68.01 per ounce, platinum losing 1.2 percent to $1,853.85, and palladium slipping nearly 1 percent to $1,345.26.
