In Mumbai, the prices were ₹14,290 for 1 gram of 22-carat gold and ₹1,14,320 for 8 grams of 22-carat gold. The prices in Kolkata were ₹14,390 for 1 gram of 22-carat gold and ₹1,15,120 for 8 grams of 22-carat gold.
The prices in Chennai were higher than expected, at ₹14,270 for 1 gram of 22-carat gold and ₹1,14,160 for 8 grams of 22-carat gold. The prices in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, and other cities also rose compared to the previous day.
