Gold Prices Rise as Silver Surges in India

Gold and silver prices in India have increased according to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA). Silver prices rose by ₹2,050 to ₹2.25 lakh per kilogram, while gold became costlier by ₹751 to ₹1.45 lakh per 10 grams.

The price of gold has risen significantly this year, increasing by ₹12,000 so far. In contrast, silver prices have declined by ₹5,000 per kilogram from their peak in December 2025.

According to commodity expert Ajay Kedia, gold and silver prices have fallen substantially from their record highs. He expects gold to rise to ₹1.60 lakh per 10 grams and silver to reach ₹2.80 lakh per kilogram by the end of the year.
