Gold Prices Rise on Lower Oil Prices and Reduced Interest Rate Expectations
Gold prices rose on Tuesday, driven by lower oil prices that eased inflation concerns and reduced expectations of further increases in US interest rates.
Spot gold gained 1 percent to $4,092.43 per ounce, while US gold futures climbed 1.5 percent to $4,149.50 per ounce.
The increase in gold prices was not limited to gold alone; other precious metals also saw significant gains. Spot silver rose 2.8 percent to $59.82 per ounce, and platinum advanced 7.1 percent to $1,745.42 per ounce.
Palladium also gained 7.1 percent to $1,355.13 per ounce, mirroring the strong performance of platinum.
