Gold Prices Rise on MCX by 0.4 Percent on August 24

On August 24, 2026, gold prices rose on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) by 0.4 percent and opened at Rs 1.62 lakh per 10 grams.

The current gold price in India stands at Rs 16,397 per gram for 24 karat gold, Rs 15,030 per gram for 22 karat gold, and Rs 12,293 per gram for 18 karat gold.

Globally, gold prices hit their highest levels in over three months on the back of a subdued dollar and focus on key US inflation data and a speech by US Federal Reserve's Chair Kevin Warsh later this week.
